Our first night in Piura has been great. As we stepped off the plane there was a rainbow in the sky. Upon our arrival we had many locals to great us with hand made signs and lots of hugs. Our night continued with a fiesta in the middle of a dirt road...a true Peruvian block part...with the local community filled with music, balloons, and confetti! We enjoyed dancing with the children. So far it's been amazing all of the excitement the Peruvians have had with our arrival. We will start clinic tomorrow in the morning and the afternoon as well as helping deliver Christmas gifts and purchasing supplies to build a home.
